Join us for an engaging workshop exploring the prevailing trends shaping LGBTQ+ inclusion in sports. We’ll examine how collaboration can challenge stereotypes, address current obstacles, and foster a more inclusive environment. With a focus on the current challenges to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), we’ll unpack the impact of these barriers and discuss actionable solutions to overcome them. Through guided discussions and shared insights, participants will explore strategies to champion equality, resilience, and innovation, shaping a positive climate for LGBTQ+ athletes and advocates in the sports world.

Dive into an interactive session designed to explore career paths and community connections in the sports industry. Participants will engage in discussions about the wide variety of jobs and opportunities in the sports world, uncovering ways to leverage their passion and unique perspectives. Through shared experiences and collaborative activities, attendees will learn how to navigate the sports job marketplace, explore innovative ideas, and craft their game plan for a fulfilling career in sports

Join this collaborative working session to explore the current landscape of LGBTQ+ sports policies and practices across states and within public and private education systems at K-12 and collegiate levels. Participants will engage in focused discussions to assess progress, identify persistent barriers, and brainstorm actionable solutions. A topical conversation on trans inclusion will highlight challenges and opportunities, addressing policies, representation, and support for transgender athletes. Together, we’ll foster unity, empowerment, and advocacy to create more inclusive and equitable sports environments for LGBTQ+ students and athletes.

Join photographer and sociologist Jeff Sheng for an immersive workshop reflecting on his decade-long journey documenting LGBTQ+ student-athletes. Through a combination of storytelling, photography, and open dialogue, participants will explore the powerful narratives captured in the Fearless book and exhibition. The output of this guided experience is the crafting of your own personal narrative including insights from athletes featured in the project, offering an opportunity to connect with their experiences and discuss how these stories can inspire advocacy and empowerment within yourself and the LGBTQ+ sports community
